HMI Cardinal

Rebranding this mid-market glass and shower enclosure manufacturer included logo development, key messaging, and graphics standards. This branding elevated the overall look and feel to represent a sophisticated, premium designer brand, and was applied to new product literature, print and digital advertising, fleet graphics, and a newly reorganized company website.

Flipping The Bird

One of the challenges in developing a logo for a company named Cardinal is that there are hundreds of companies with the same name, and almost ALL of them have some interpretation of the bird. HMI Cardinal was no exception with their “angry bird” logo.

In positioning Cardinal as a premium dealer of designer glass, and shower enclosures, an alternative view of the bird was taken. The red feather emerged as a simple of elegance, and simple sophistication, and applied to the company name, set in a stylish font.

That same elegance was leveraged in materials throughout the company creating a high-end, designer personality, and elevating the perception of the company and its products.
